Tips›Outlook: the Inbox looks right but Sent is tiny
A member has set the text size in their Inbox, it looks lovely, and then they open Sent Items and it is small again. Nothing is broken and they have not undone anything.
In classic Outlook the text size of the message list is a setting on the FOLDER, not on Outlook. Setting it on the Inbox does exactly nothing to Sent Items, or to Deleted Items, or to any other folder. That is the whole answer, and it is worth saying out loud to somebody who has decided they must have pressed something wrong.
You can fix the one folder. Open Sent Items first — that matters, because whatever folder you are standing in is the one you are about to change. Then View, then View Settings, then Other Settings. There are two fonts in there: Row Font is the message lines themselves, and Column Font is the headings above them. Set both, or the headings stay small and it still looks wrong.
Better, do the lot at once. Get the Inbox exactly how they want it, then View, then Change View, then Apply Current View to Other Mail Folders. Tick Sent Items, or tick the top of the list for everything. That stops the same phone call coming back next week about a different folder.
One thing to check before you start. This is classic Outlook. If they are on the new Outlook there is no View Settings button at all and the answer is a different one, so have a look for that button first rather than hunting for a menu that is not there.

The words people use for this are bigger and larger, not font size — so if you are searching for it later, try those.
